Social Distance Monitoring Approach Using Wearable Smart Tags

Coronavirus has affected millions of people worldwide, with the rate infected still increasing. The virus is transmitted between through direct, indirect, or close contact people. To help prevent social transmission COVID-19, this paper presents a new smart distance system that allows individuals to keep distances others in indoor and outdoor environments, avoiding exposure COVID-19 slowing its spread locally across country. proposed monitoring consists wearable prototype compact low-cost electronic device, based on human detection proximity functions, estimate issue notification when less than predefined threshold value. developed been validated several experiments, achieved high acceptance (96.1%) low localization error (<6 m).
